Amazon Program Manager FBI in Seattle, Washington

Description

This role supports the Stores organization for the Seller Services function within Amazon.com. Within this portfolio, the Finance & Business Integration (FBI) team at Amazon supports the business of products that are sold by Third Party sellers for retail & third party sales for the North America region. The individual will have the opportunity to manage small to medium size simple & complex projects with high impact and exposure.

These programs provide great opportunities for learning all about Amazon’s North American consumer space and will require the individual to work across teams in FBI/Accounting, Tax, FinOps, business and tech. This space requires the individual to navigate through ambiguity and come up with solutions for new uses frequently.

In this role, the individual will be part of a team that collaborates with business finance and technical teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. This person will have exhibited an ability to execute tactically and strategically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive program objectives – provide program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.

• Define requirements and work with partner teams to design, implement and launch scalable solutions.

• Design processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.

• Communicate new/updated programs and processes to leaders, employees, and cross functional organizations.

• Collaborate and build relationships with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and the highest degree of controllership.

• Negotiate efficient and reliable processes and policies across partner teams to systematically eliminate dependencies and defects.

• Work cross-organizationally and functionally to identify key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces and developing and implementing plans to capitalize on those opportunities and measure and monitor success and impacts.

A day in the life

Day to day activities will look like as follows:

  • Project Management

  • Delivering accounting requirements to business & tech

  • UAT testing

  • Communicate program updates to relevant stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of program or project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP

  • Master's degree, or CMA or CPA

  • Experience supporting accounting/finance customers to set and effectively manage expectations, project deliverables, and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise

  • Experience in finance projects, including requirement gathering and testing in environments with distributed systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
