This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security and human spaceflight. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will design and develop combustion devices (injectors, chambers, nozzles, thrusters, igniters, and related components) for various rocket engines and spaceflight systems. You will be responsible for a combustion device's complete product life-cycle from initial requirements through flight qualification including design, manufacturing, test support,performingtest data reviews, processing non-conforming hardware, and writing technical reports. You will need to have a background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and structural mechanics to be successful. You will be reporting directly to a Combustion Devices Manager within the Engines business unit. Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics preferred) Strong technical fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, and structures Experience in hardware design and/or development Computer-aided design (CAD) experience Demonstrated familiarity with data analysis and data processing Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: M.S. or higher in engineering discipline Knowledge of the design process, hardware build, and test Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) Experience with Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 1 Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $75,510---$105,714 USD Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
