The Reporting and Analytics (R&A) teams at the University empower data-driven decisions by providing easy access to institutional information. We utilize various approaches such as traditional reports, data cubes, AI-driven features, and predictive analytics, all of which are supported by well-managed metadata definitions. We also offer timely, accurate, and actionable Workday operational reports for Human Capital Management and Finances. In addition, we build and maintain custom applications such as BI Portal and Knowledge Navigator to empower end-users to effortlessly access, explore, and interact with our data products.

The R&A teams collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights that drive informed decisions, ultimately improving admissions, student success, instruction, and administrative services for everyone involved, including students, faculty, advisors, and staff.

The Reporting Developer will:

  • Work across Finance, HCM, and Payroll functional areas, and with partner organizations to directly develop and maintain Workday reports.

  • Research, design, build, and deliver reporting solutions in response to emerging Workday technologies, customer requests, and mandated operational changes. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Science, Computer Science or related field or experience.

  • Four years’ experience in report/analytics development to include requirements elicitation.

  • Experience building and maintaining complex reporting solutions at the enterprise level including performance tuning reports and reporting solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to dive into a new data domain or subject area and quickly understand the fundamentals.

  • Ability to represent, promote technical reports and analytic dashboards.

  • Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, user liaison skills, and personal interaction abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and productivity navigating any reporting data domain or subject area

  • Expertise in maintaining harmonious working relationships and effectively addressing complex and sensitive administrative issues.

  • Experience with using discretion and independent judgment effectively in decision-making processes. DESIRED:

  • Functional knowledge of finance data domains

  • Experience designing or building Workday reporting solutions.

  • Workday Reporting Pro Certification

  • Demonstrated experience designing and building complex logistical calculations that underlie core data constructs

  • Experience working with SaaS infrastructure, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Experience in Higher Education administrative systems management, including Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials.
