Safety Specialist

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Safety Specialist supporting the SAIW/SACSS contract working for the Naval Aviation Warfare Center- Webster Outlying Field Division (NAWC-WOLF) performing modernization on US Navy Combat Surface Vessels. Our work depends on Safety Specialist joining our team to provide training, guidance, and oversight to facilities and waterfront teams in all aspects related to Safety and environmental compliance.

HOW A SAFETY SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

● Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, and administer related training programs.

● Communicate as required with internal and external customers.

● Provide guidance in accordance with GDIT policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations.

● Understand the dynamics of a multi-contractor environment and provide support to operations which improve their ability to complete contracted work safely.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills: Training in and knowledge of OSHA 29CFR1910 and 29CFR1915.

● Required Skills and Abilities: Communication, Microsoft Office Proficiency, Problem Solving

● Preferred Skills: Team Management

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
