Amazon Pay is now available in 18 countries, allowing buyers to leverage Amazon’s trusted, convenient, and rewarding wallet for 3rd party purchase experiences online. As part of our dynamic team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of digital payments. We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to lead Amazon Pay distribution space with a goal to increase points of acceptance through partnerships.

As a Sr. Program Manager at Amazon Pay, you will be responsible for managing Amazon Pay's distribution strategy to increase points of acceptance through partnerships. This will involve working closely with a cross-functional team including Product, Tech, Partnership, and GTM teams to define engagement rules, operating principles, and success criteria for partners. You will also develop and execute a roadmap to achieve Amazon Pay's penetration goals.

In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating risks to the plan, highlighting them to leadership, and creating and implementing mitigation strategies. You will also track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure that Amazon Pay is meeting its goals. Finally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across Amazon and with partners.

Key job responsibilities

Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

Cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders, leveraging strong influencing skills to drive consensus and achieve desired outcomes. Implement innovative problem-solving techniques and streamline processes across the organization.

Demonstrate proficiency in strategic thinking, offering valuable insights and contributing to the development of long-term plans.

Take ownership of tracking and reporting S-team goals, ensuring transparent and actionable insights for leadership.

Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a commanding executive presence, to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience managing business reviews such as MBR, WBRs and goals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
