  • Teaching Associate

  • Full-time, 12-month (July 1-June 30) academic position on a yearly appointment and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Anticipated start date in Fall 2024.

  • The Vascular Surgery Service Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a member of the Vascular Surgery multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, fellows, and RNs providing medical/surgical management.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent and collaborative patient management throughout the continuum of inpatient and outpatient care. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on a dedicated Vascular Surgery inter-professional team with other established physicians, Surgeons, APPs, nurses, and clinic and support staff.

  • Provide a full spectrum of care for Vascular surgery patients.

  • Participate in the education of nursing staff.

  • Participate in quality improvement projects and process improvement activities for the Division of Vascular Surgery.

  • Performs other related duties as required. REQUIREMENTS

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP

  • Graduate Degree from and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or accredited Physician Assistant Program

  • Current and valid Washington state PA license

  • Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA

  • Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment

  • Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of patients undergoing Vascular Surgical procedures.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
