Must have the following in order to apply:

• Position requires completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 and 2).
• Willingness to interact with toddlers and young children for an extended period of time
• Available to work Monday through Friday.

Required Screening:

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with preschool aged children and the skills to work with a team.

Job Description:

We are seeking an individual to assist in providing an educational environment for our early learning center participants. Ideal candidates will have a creative personality and classroom management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists Pre-School Teachers with classroom coverage, providing a quality experience to children that focuses on the YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and faith.
• Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
• Leads activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
• Establishes and enforces rules
• Attends to children's needs including supervising meal times, playground times and free play.
