Job Description

Logistics Specialist

Responsible for handling import/export and local transportation management for Korea.

Job Overview:

  • Work with and manage the Freight forwarders to setup shipments from overseas, be responsible for monitoring the shipment status, work with brokers for Customs clearance timely for the imported shipments in Korea.

  • Work with Regulatory team closely to define the HS Code and confirm the import/export policy of the international shipments

  • Be the main contact for the domestic shipments within Korea

  • Be responsible for communicating with stakeholders to prepare all the import/export permits.

  • Checking billing list and finishing check requests for Logistics related vendors.

  • Inventory management and check in local warehouse.

  • Document all transportation service failures, resolve, and escalate to management when appropriate resolution is incomplete.

  • Document properly all Logistics related files

  • Follow SOPs to guarantee compliance, uniformity, and standardization

  • Assist the Manager within the department with administrative tasks as assigned (e.g. Tracking Shipments, post-inspections from governments, audit).

Requirements:

  • University degree or higher

  • At least 5-8 years working experience in logistics & operations required

  • High level understanding of international trades and domestic logistics

  • Familiar with ocean shipping procurement and documentation

  • Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail-minded, committed, and hardworking

  • Good command of English

  • Strong computer skill in MS Office software

  • Good team player

  • Immediate available preferred
