Jacobs Senior System Administrator in Severn, Maryland

Your Impact:

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for supporting, hardening, troubleshooting, and maintaining multiple enclaves of host and network devices to support mission systems.

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for a handful of enclaves consisting of all computing resources from the end-user computer to the firewall. The Senior System Administrator supports the ISSO to ensure the networks maintain accreditation.

  • Test, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve network and user access.

  • Employ networking best practices, troubleshooting connectivity, and configuring/maintaining network devices.

  • Support SW dev-ops infrastructure (e.g. Atlassian tool suite).

  • Maintain enclave documentation.

  • Configure, reconfigure, or install GFE software and COTS/GOTS

  • Maintain, patch, harden all networks and systems to meet enclave security requirements.

  • Provision computing resources.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Active TS/SCI FS clearance.

  • BS plus 8-years of relevant experience.

  • Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.

  • Expertise in Linux and/or Windows OS.

  • Experience conducting system security scans.

  • Experience maintaining enclave System Security Plans (SSP)/Secure the Enterprise (STE)/Secure the Net (STN) and sustainment.

  • Expertise working with continuous monitoring tools including Nessus, Splunk, and McAfee/Trellix.

  • Support SW dev-ops infrastructure

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
