The Oncology & Immunology Unit (OIU) works efficiently with partners through our leading biology research service platform. We cover all of your research needs ranging from target discovery, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, and translational research to clinical biomarker testing enabling drug discovery for cancer, autoimmune disease and rare genetic diseases (RGD). Job Location: Shanghai / Nantong (Qidong), China
Responsibilities
Build a productive team, retain talent and foster a culture of support and proactivity.
Strengthen and develop strategic relationships with current and potential customers, clients and industry partners
Troubleshoot and manage research and administration-related issues to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Undertake scientific searches on pharmacology/oncology/immunology and evaluate information for projects. Advanced experimental ability in developing, performing and analyzing in vivo / ex vivo assays and readouts.
Evaluate biological activities and characterize the underlying mechanism of pharmacological effect of therapeutic leads.
Validate new methodologies, process improvement and provide technical knowledge in pharmacological assays.
Qualifications
PhD degree in pharmacology, immunology, cell/molecular biology or a related discipline; Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industry or academia preferred;
Demonstrate advanced experimental ability and understanding in establishing and validating in vivo pharmacology efficacy models as required by project demand, ranging from oncology/tumor to immunogenicity models;
Ability to translate findings from in vitro models to in vivo models;
Have hands-on knowledge of non-clinical imaging, such as bioluminescence, PET/CT etc. would be advantageous;
Strong problem solving and analytic skills, able to work independently and collaborate with various teams/division;
Enjoy working within a dynamic environment and has the ability to manage and priorities multiple tasks;
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and oversee a team of scientists and technicians;
Effective written and communication skills in Chinese and English. Summarize data, present to the investigators and clients of various levels. Accurate and timely experimental reports and logging of results in electronic laboratory notebooks in English.
