Job Description Summary

Finance Director, Private Market, is responsible for providing strategic P&L or operations finance leadership, for a Private P&L. The Finance Manager serves as a business partner to the Private operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and (global) profitability. Manages or influences a team of Financial Analysts in smaller scope roles. May include oversight for several types of Finance responsibilities such as FP&A or Controllership. Reports to the China CFO.

Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

• Partner with Healthcare China Private business leader and staff to drive operating performance & act as champion for strategic initiatives within the organization

• Ownership for developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan)

• Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

• Coordinate with commercial leaders to improve cash flow, reduce Past due, clear aged unbill and bad debt reserve; take relevant actions on aged inventory clean up

• Ensures that appropriate financial processes and systems are in place in accordance with local government laws and corporate policies. Supervise accounting activities from share service and monthly/quarterly closing.

• Risk and pricing management… Engaged in commercial process from bidding to contracting and assess potential business risk and deal margin for Non-standard contract terms, customer business license & Hospital certification

• Support China Foreign Affair team on EPC and “one belt one road” projects by defining commercial structure& process, reviewing terms and executions.

• Solve customer/ quality related issues by providing finance impact scenario analysis and handle related legal issues with legal consol.

• Work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Healthcare SOP’s; Drive profitable growth in the P&L by providing analysis of results and identifying & tracking key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions

• Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information (e.g. report dashboard and VC/BC productivity). Actively participate with Operations Management to improve productivity and inventory management.

• Lead cross-functional projects like BI tool to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs & improving profitability

• Effectively manage/lead/coordinate/develop a team of Financial Analysts and/or Finance Managers determine clear roles & responsibilities, identify and action development needs to ensure superior finance business support.
