About the role

Global Intercompany: Responsible for working within the Asia finance team to support Treasury and Intercompany deliverables, including executing key intercompany accounting processes, supporting month end close, supporting financial audits, working closely with stakeholders across the global business to ensure balance sheet integrity and accuracy, and working closely with our service providers.

Role will also be responsible for managing key controls for region/global activities within the remit of the role.

The role will work closely with the key stakeholders to identify and support process change and improvements, be a subject matter expert for TBS Finance to ensure a positive customer experience and proactive management of change/transitioning new processes relating to intercompany transactions.

This role reports into the Senior Finance Manager Asia TBS – TBS Record to Report Asia and has as its responsibilities to:

  • Support the Treasury & Intercompany teams in completing financial accounting activities which include Financial Reporting, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, financial close, full balance sheet review

  • Support Statutory & Management Reporting for several international entities

  • Support both Internal audit, external audit and all regions’ statutory audits where related to Intercompany

  • Work and collaborate with Group Tax, Group Treasury, Regional Commercial Finance, Risk & Assurance, internal and external auditors.

  • Work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance.

A focus is on building strong working relationships and and liaising with the offshore team in Mumbai to deliver key financial requirements to both divisional and group finance teams.

Global Balance Sheet Reconciliation Governance & Blackline Tool

  • Support the monthly balance sheet reconciliation govenance activities including, monitoring timely completion of reconciliations as it relates to Intercompany.

This role will require:

  • Experience in Accounting Function in MNC is a must and Global Intercompany the best

  • Fluent Speaking and Written English Skills

  • Ability to handle tasks under pressure and in a timely manner with required quality

  • Willing to “test and learn” – not every idea will deliver the right outcome, but a willingness to try critical

  • Self-starter, curiosity to dive into the detail and build out understanding of process

  • Get into the detail, quickly understand transaction flows and impacts

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge with a solutions mindset

  • Great interpersonal & communication skills

  • Blackline (Reconciliation module) experience preferred and/or a desire to build these skills/knowledge

  • JDE ERP and Hyperion experience preferred

  • Strong ability to influence

About you

  • CA / CPA (preferred)

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in similar role

  • Working knowledge of Blackline Reconciliations module (preferred)

  • Evidence a structured, organised approach to ensure quality outcomes are delivered in accordance with tight timeframes

  • Must be confident, self-starter willing to engage with staff at all levels

  • Must evidence an ability to work within a team as well as being able to work individually

  • Experience of working in shared services operating model (preferred)
