= Objectives =
• Responsible for Surface Treatment application lab, technical services, and analysis
• Develop technical solutions and new applications with main focus on methane sulfonic acid (MSA) and additives for Electronics & Batteries (E&B)
• Transform project objectives into work plans, execute plans through independent and/ or collaborative work, including technical support for customers in Asia Pacific
= Main Tasks =
• Identification of trends and tendencies from market where MSA and E&B can be applied and turn into proposals, project objectives and lab work plans, execute plans through independent or collaborative work
• Independently summarize results, interpretate and implement the next steps
• Independent documentation and presentation of R&D results, filing of patent applications
• Perform general lab assignments (e.g. raw material inventory review, lab housekeeping) as assigned
• Comply with regulations concerning safety, health, and environment according to Campus rules & BASF standards according to local given requirement.
• Discussion with customers on promotion and implementation of new products and lab solutions
= Job Requirements =
• Bachelor or master degree in electrochemistry-related discipline with working experiences
• Master degree with at least 4 years or Bachelor degree with at least 6 years R&D professional experience in industry, ideally in manufacturing industry. Professional experience in Electronic industry and/or Battery industry is advantageous
Other requirements:
o Good English speaking and writing skills. Previous experience working for a multinational company is an advantage
o Ability to work and communicate effectively within the organization
o Ability to analyze results and to solve technical problems
o Proficient in computer skills
