much more What to Expect: Under the direction of the Human Resources
Director and Human Resources Manager, performs responsible, professional
work in administering the County Human Resources programs with minimal
supervision and direction. This position will provide back up to the
Human Resources Benefits Specialist as well as the Human Resources
Coordinator position. Essential Duties Designs and implements overall
recruitment strategies. Collaborate with hiring managers and supervisors
with position posting and innovative recruitment strategies.
Facilitates, implements and trains managers and supervisors on Neo-Gov
applicant tracking process. Supports full cycle recruitment including
job postings, social media accounts, phone screening, interviews,
applicant testing, candidate logs, and onboarding. Represents Sheboygan
County at local job fairs and recruitment events. Maintains a log of all
applications received and a log of all applicant data record forms
completed for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Assists with applicant screening and initial interviews. Assists with
applicant testing and reference checks. Distributes necessary Human
Resources information (insurance, handbooks, and labor contracts).
Assists with files for new hire orientations, in collaboration with the
Human Resources Coordinator. Orients new employees to policies and
procedures and benefits provided by the County, along with assisting in
the completion of original Human Resources documents, including
benefits, retirement, W-4 and I-9 forms. Responds to inquiries on Human
Resources policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local
legislation. Answers questions regarding insurance coverage and benefit
provisions; handling independently or seeking assistance from Human
Resources Benefits Specialist, Human Resources Manager, or Human
Resources Director. Administers succession planning program for
Sheboygan County leadership positions. Assists with performance
evaluation tracking and training. Completes personnel related projects,
surveys, and reports. Assists with coordination of safety compliance in
conjunction with Human Resources Director and Safety Committee. Assists
the Human Resources Benefits Specialist with administration of employee
insurance and benefits. Assists the Human Resources Benefits Specialist
with coordination and materials for wellness challenges. Runs monthly
reports for County wide Human Resources Metrics quarterly reporting.
Performs other special projects, and other duties as assigned.
***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree in
Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration,
Communications, or a related field. Two or more years of Human Resources
Assistant, Coordinator or Generalist experience preferred. Applicable
knowledge of overall Human Resources Generalist practices to include
recruitment, hiring, separation, leadership training, and employee
benefits. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions carefully
and accurately, and to work independently and reliably with limited
direct supervision. Advanced skills in using office software including
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Outstanding w itten and verbal
communications skills. Excellent organizational skills, including the
ability to organize work flow and maintain a filing system and
calendars. Knowledge of current Social Media platforms desirable.
Ability to work with a variety of people, demonstrating good judgement,
professionalism, and the highest degree of confidentiality. Work
Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in a
standard office setting. Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and
a combination of sitting and standing postures may be required. Ability
to regularly work 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week. Must be able to operate
standard office equipment including telephone, computer, scanner,
calculator, printer, and photocopier. Risk of bloodborne pathogen
