Sonos Supplier Quality Manager, ME Parts in Shenzhen, China

The Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) - ME Parts is the individual contributor, who will have APAC quality management responsibility for Sonos’ supplier-manufactured mechanical MTS parts. In terms of assessing, qualifying, developing, launching and maintaining suppliers through world class processes. The position will be focusing on the NPI quality development, establishing the quality requirements and controls. Also responsible for managing and reporting on the day-to-day quality performance of Sonos’ suppliers, lead Root Cause Corrective Action through the entire product life cycle, conduct supplier factory and process audits and qualifications, and play an integral part in the Sonos’ source selection process.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of supplier qualityengineering experience in China working with mechanical parts in a high-volumeenvironment. Specifically, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and finishing processes. He/She will need the experiences and skills to effectively conduct the following major responsibilities:

  • Support new supplier development to satisfy the needs of Sonos’ product roadmaps and sourcing initiatives.

  • Advanced quality planning from Proto to Mass Production by deploying 5 quality

  • core tools. Ensure the project is safely launched.

  • Lead drawing review, feedback and MSOP with PD team and Engineering team.

  • Facilitate FAI and Cpk reviews to finalize engineering specifications so that all

  • critical dimensions are able to be mass produced at high yields.

  • Validate supplier Gauge R&R and coordinate Correlation with CM IQC.

  • Facilitate X-functions and supplier to identify the quality risk through PFMEA.

  • Approve Control Plan to ensure good quality parts produced.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve our supplier quality, delivery, and

  • costs through CIP.

  • Provide supplier on-site technical leadership for all problem diagnosis &

  • resolution on sustaining products and manage supplier’s 8D problem solving

  • process.

  • Routine supplier manufacturing process audits.

  • Supplier performance review of quality KPI’s.

The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or engineering, a minimum of 7 years of related experience. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as ASME Y14.5 is must.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the following: ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.

  • An excellent problem solver applying analytical and data-driven methodologies. Six Sigma GB or ASQ-CQE is a plus.

  • Logic thinking and convincing report.

  • Teamwork spirit. Ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural global business environment. Excellent communication in both Mandarin and English.

Most travels are required in the Guangdong Province (Estimated up to 50% travel).Occasionally you need to support East of China and Vietnam.
