The Hub on Smith Grab n Go Manager in Sheridan, Wyoming

The Hub on Smith is now hiring a Grab n Go Manager. We are looking for a creative foodie to produce delicious and nutritious meals from scratch in a fun and upbeat atmosphere! Position requires a full range of motion and ability to lift, transfer and position objects. Qualified candidates possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and have two years experience in a management, food, and customer service role.

The Grab n Go Manager acts as the supervisor in the cafe and works with baristas and kitchen staff to ensure every person coming in receives an experience that exemplifies True Quality.

Essential Job Functions Include: Oversees the growth, development and promotion of the Grab n Go as a revenue generating service area for the organization Maintains quality of food recipes for Grab n Go including: Beverage menu and production of high-quality coffee and tea Maintains Smoothie menu and masters production of delicious drinks Responsible for equipment in Grab n Go area Creates attractive displays and loads food in display cases Assesses and adjusts, as needed, processes to assure work and customer flow Sets prices for items Assures signage of the area is clear and helpful to customers Manages point of sale and cash management system for Grab n Go Oversees packaging, labeling and presentation of food Responsible for storing and monitoring the necessary food and supplies Plans ahead for daily operations, instructing and assisting staff and volunteers Ensures that staff and volunteers clean work areas regularly Assures that food safety and customer service are priorities Maintains records for the area as required Writes policies, procedures, work tools, and training materials for staff and volunteers Provides Barista training and coaching for staff and volunteers daily as needed Works with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train and supervise volunteers Communicates with Baker/Sandwich Maker and Food Prep staff about food preparation needs Work to provide the team the training, education, empowerment, and responsibility necessary to work successfully Provides pleasant and welcoming demeanor, impeccable customer service, and urgency to the customer, always offering a food option with a smile (if only drink ordered or vice-versa) MEALS PROGRAM Orders food and supplies for meals program as requested by supervisor Communicates regularly with kitchen team in a positive and respectful manner Provides excellent customer service Works independently and as a team member Reports concerns of health and safety regarding an individual or the program to supervisor immediately Strictly follows the organizations procedures in case of an accident Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Frequently transfers, lifts and positions objects Frequently communicates and exchanges information with others Regularly observes and assesses clients, staff and volunteers May be required to stand for extended periods of time Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Food Service experience and training Barista experience Caf or restaurant management experience Food handling and safety training or certification Good time management skills Strong organizational and information management skills Able to problem solve and remain flexible as circumstances change Passion for coffee Highly organized, tidy, self-starter, detail oriented, accountable Strong desire and ability to teach and lead others Customer service enthusiast Ability to communicate constructively, effectively and professionally Should possess a contagious passion around our products and help build a culture of excellence and constant learning Minimum Qualifications: Possesses a high school diploma Hospitality and/or Specialty Coffee Experience: 1-year retail or customer service experience
