1st Shift - Manufacturing Supervisor
Job Summary:
Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Supervisor that will be based at our Sidney, Ohio manufacturing facility. The Supervisor will actively supervises and manage manpower,equipment, daily operations of production teams in machining with responsibility for achieving operational objectives such as safety excellence, maximum quality and cost effectiveness in an on-time and efficient manner. Maintains and builds a highly engaged team within your area of responsibility including recruitment, on the job-training, performance evaluations, positive employee relations, and employee development while embracing employee involvement.
Responsibilities:
Ensures a respectful, safe and engaged work place for all employees. Leveraging employee involvement, creating and executing action plans, building sustainable practices through continuous improvement and root cause analysis focusing on reducing repeat concerns or misses.
Active supervision of CNC machining departments that includes CNC milling, turning, and rotor machining. Achieve short and long range manufacturing goals to meet or exceed annual Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Engagement and Cost objectives.
Helping resolve employee issues and disputes
Support productivity and quality projects to ensure plant-wide goals and objectives are met using operational excellence tools such as Lean and IRX deployment to drive cycle reduction, process flow improvements and waste elimination.
Communicate effectively with the team, modeling and encouraging the expression of diverse ideas and opinions.
Provide strategic guidance to ensure employees are focused, aligned, and engaged in the pursuit of the overall business strategies, and goals.
Collaborate effectively with peers to assure shipping deadlines are met and that quality standards meet or exceed Customer requirements.
Support team leads to achieve goals, and assist in managing daily communication sheets, Safety QDIP boards, and any support needed to drive success in responsibilities.
Manages the utilization of equipment and manpower to assure an appropriate amount of parts are available line side to maintain smooth production flow; identifies wasteful practices and leads improvement.
Promotes and supports the company's efforts in associate involvement concepts, and "open door" communications through the development and or implementation of various programs.
Scheduling overtime when needed and a basic knowledge of machine capacities
to
drive results

Qualifications:
High school degree and or GED required
Additional training and or education preferred but not required
3-5 + years of leadership experience in a manufacturing field required
Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence experience preferred
Able to work in a manufacturing environment that requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing throughout day.
Requires occasional lifting of objects less than 40 pounds.
Work involves activities that require special safety precautions such as lock out tag out and regular use of protective clothing, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, machining centers or material handling vehicles within a plant environment.
