Roles and Responsibilities
· Manage end to end effort for the development and deployment of new production processes and equipment for quality responsibilities.
· Develop the inspection planning, CMM and other inspection gaging requirements.
· Validation of CMM/auto-inspection programs for optimization.
· Identify and design inspection methods for production processes with the goal of process capability and operator feedback
· Maintain and control process documentation of production processes.
· Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop gauging and systems to support product conformance.
· Troubleshooting and continuous improvement of inspection processes.
· Develop paperless shopfloor documentation systems.
· Assist production in the prove-out and debugging of new processes.
· Follow prescribed work rules and safety standards.
· Take ownership of project goals and objectives to ensure project success
Qualification and Education Requirements
• Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material)
• At least 5 years’ of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of CMM, auto-inspection method, inspection tooling and metrology technology and ANSI Y14.5 blueprint reading
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Develop and manage a project from concept to implementation
• Analyze information and solve problems quickly
• Experience with metrology standards and equipment
• Demonstrate high level of attention to details
