LinkedIn Senior Communications Manager, APAC Reputation Management in Singapore, Singapore

We have an exciting full time opportunity for a communications lead with experience in corporate reputation and issues management. This individual will be part of the Global Corporate Communications team and lead issues management for markets in APAC, proactive story-telling and campaign strategies that maintain member and customer trust in LinkedIn. This is a newly created position reporting to the Group Manager of Reputation Management and working closely with the Director of Proactive Trust.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the regulatory and political environment as well as traditional and social news media and command exceptional writing and project management skills. We’re looking for someone who can thrive while working in a fast paced context with colleagues across different geographies in a complex organization. You’ll be a passionate storyteller, who understands how to land a worthy headline and how to work with leaders to develop owned content that show how we lead through our values to earn the trust of our 1 billion members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead communications responses across owned, earned and paid social channels in close partnership with colleagues in-market.

  • Develop regional Corporate Communications campaigns, pitches and content that help define LinkedIn’s reputation. 

  • Build and execute a regular cadence of proactive and reactive LinkedIn content to help define LinkedIn’s efforts to keep the platform a safe and trusted community for all. 

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and Corporate Communications leads in market to support real-time issues response across news media, social platforms.

  • Serve as an expert to share guidance and expertise to regional and country leaders, global communications, policy and other partners on emerging trends and issues facing the company and social networks broadly. Leverage these insights to inform our broader issues management strategy.

Basic qualifications

  • 9+ years previous experience in a communications role in-house, including  public policy comms and/or issues management

  • Deep experience working with journalists reactively and proactively, and comes with several reporter contacts in APAC markets

Preferred qualifications

  • Proven experience in reputation management for global technology, recruitment or consumer brands.

  • Experience executing multi-market communications campaigns.

  • Energetic self starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple markets.

  • Strong attention to detail and high expectations for quality.

  • Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Possess a high degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality.

  • Expert in creating a tone of voice to match the personality of a leader that can be applied across all communication platforms.
