This position reports to Director, Face Moisture & Treatment R&D and is based at Skillman NJ. (Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.)

Location: Skillman, NJ (Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.)

Travel %: 10 %

Pay: $111,000 to $192,050

What you will do

The Manager, Face Treatments R&D is responsible for execute the innovation pipeline for Neutrogena Facial Treatment products with excellence in execution. They will lead the portfolio project execution, working directly with the Global segment, commercial teams, supply chain, and other functions within R&D. This may include upstream innovation, product development, business continuity, compliance, commercial innovation, claims, and demos and cost improvement programs. Role will include base business life cycle management lead support for the respective portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Lead role in R&D for technical problem resolution and project success criteria, demonstrating superior technical formulation knowledge and processes.
Shape, lead, and execute the innovation pipeline, working closely with other leaders in the organization, such as supply chain, commercial, packaging, and plants.
Secure the brand strategy and business goals delivery by translating consumer data and market insights into accurate technical briefs; Leverage science & technology trends and networks to deliver innovations quickly.
Securing design for manufacturability into all technical briefs
Ensure all processes and activities comply with company policies and applicable external regulations/laws.
Contribute to the definition and oversee technical project development.
Establish project success criteria and monitor progress to deliver against 3YOP.
Deliver GP improvements and embed sustainability into innovation.
Manage budget allocation for the service and resources across R&D.
Manage and mitigate risk, supporting agility and speed to market.
Provide project/program progress reports and status updates to senior management.
Manage a team of scientists, empowering agility and speed to market, including talent discussions.
Link technical knowledge to business strategy and leverage external innovation-related technology.


Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy is required.
Minimum of 8 years of business-related experience is required.
An excellent technical foundation of formulated products, including emulsions, surfactants, suspensions, and structured liquids, and an understanding of material chemistry is required.
Experience in developing and substantiating claims is required.
Successful track record in translating science mode of action into consumer and health professionals' language is required.
Product development/process scale-up experience is required.
Fluent written and oral English communication skills is required.
People management is required.


Desired Qualifications

Experience with formulation and cosmetic science is preferred.
Cosmetics, OTC, or pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
Experience working with external manufacturing and technical project management is preferred.

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $111,000 to $192,050. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors
