POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a System Technologist who will serve as the primary liaison and will work closely with the Customer, Systems Support Center, team members, third party contractors, and the local servicer. The System Technologist is responsible for ensuring the Terms and Conditions of the warranty/maintenance contract are met.

In addition to having the ultimate responsibility for time, cost, and scope of individual projects, he/she has cumulative responsibility for all projects and operations within the program, account and/or operation including:

  • Standard configuration radio equipment and services
  • Non-standard radio equipment
  • Programming and installation services for equipment
  • Engineering and site survey services for new installations/projects
  • Maintenance and/or break-fix services for the existing equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the primary liaison who will work closely with the Customer, Systems Support Center, team members, third party contractors, and the local servicer.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Terms and Conditions of the warranty/maintenance contract are met. This includes but is not limited to: System Administration Service, Inventory Management Service, Configuration Management Service, Site Management Service, User Support Service, Vendor Management, Operational Assessment, and System Planning Service.
  • Coordinate service activities and ensure compliance to contract. The System Technologist insures compliance with response/restoration time commitment.
  • Remotely diagnose system failure and facilitate call management as applicable.
  • Manage Emergency Service efforts and escalation procedures.
  • Provide analysis, recommendations and fault diagnostic information to the customer to achieve Best-in-Class system performance and utilization.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have excellent communication and planning skills to interface with customers in the Army
  • 10+ years LMR experience as a System technologist, System Technologist or Systems Engineer
  • Experienced with P25 public safety radio systems and their applications by customers
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communications skills, both orally and written
  • Must have strong Project Management and leadership skills.
  • Must have the ability to lead/influence a highly experienced global team.
  • Defines and develops initial program scope, objectives, and budgets for projects and programs.
  • Prepares and analyses various scenarios for staffing programs across world-wide design canters.
  • Conducts project reviews through the life of the project. Identifies and mitigates risks.
  • 10+ years experience in program/project management.
  • Prior technical background experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to successf lly apply advanced project management skill in such areas as customer relations, team building, matrix management, project planning, conflict resolution, and budget.
  • Capable of developing detailed program reports and conducting formal customer briefings.
  • Able to manage complex teams with team members and customers remotely dispersed
  • Must have good technical writing skills and computer skills
  • Computer skills capable of working with databases, Outlook, MS Office and Project.
  • Knowledge and ability to use project management software is critical.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of DAS projects. Coordinate resources, provide accurate project requirements, and address customer concerns or issues as they arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the value of our products or services to potential clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Must be capable of passing a personal background that would allow issuance of a US Government military base access pass
  • System Technologist/Project Management Professional certification preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50% or more of the time away from home and live at a project site for extended periods within the continental U.S. or international.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to exceed sales targets and achieve success.
