This Project Manager (PM) role will be responsible for successful execution of projects and key initiatives, within budget, on time, and meeting business objective(s). The PM is accountable for all aspects of project performance including; planning and execution of project activities, managing project resources, overseeing financial performance and acting as liaison for senior management and other stakeholders. The Project Manager provides input to the program prioritization process and participates in other key strategic business portfolio processes to ensure funding for the objective. These projects and initiatives will be highly cross functional in team make-up and scope, depending on business needs. This will require a PM who can lead diverse scopes of work from traditional capital projects, to initiatives related to key business objectives of Safety, Quality/Compliance, Supply Assurance (i.e. capacity, yield, fulfillment), and Value.

Responsibilities:

· Develop business case for projects, prepare proposals, and gain stakeholder support and approval

· Manage projects through a Project life cycle (initiation through close out)

· Prepare budgets and provide regular cost reports

· Prepare schedules and effectively manage and communicate risks and conflicts

· Lead approved projects and continuous improvement initiatives that are in alignment with the site strategies.

· Perform detailed project planning including but not limited to schedule and resources and successfully execute cross functional projects.

· Prepare timely project reports and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including reporting any potential project delays timely and provide mitigation plans to assure on-time execution.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience :

· Demonstrated success in execution of complex projects

· Demonstrated success in execution of projects in a matrix organization

· Experience working in an FDA regulated industry, with knowledge of regulatory submission process and approval

· Experience with a formal project management methodology such as the PMBOK®

· Able to influence at all levels and effectively communicate project benefits, status and issues

· Due to the nature of an active Manufacturing environment must be willing to work weekend, holiday and off-shift as required.

Qualifications:

· BS in Science or Engineering required.

· 8-10 years work experience with > 3 year of those years in a regulated industry and 4-5 in a direct people management or matrix management role

· PMP certification preferred

· <10% travel for business reasons (e.g. training, vendor visits, etc.)
