Aerotek Maintenance Technician in South Bend, Indiana

Description:

This position is a mechanical maintenance position. What someone can anticipate doing on a day to day basis is troubleshooting and repairing tanks, pumps, agitators, pneumatic conveyors, among others from a mechanical standpoint. From an electrical stand point this person will need to have familiarity with single and three phase motors and 120-480V. They will need to be able to rewire the motors when it needs it to happen.

A typical day they will come in and get a work order from the supervisor. From that point on, they will spend about 25-35% of their time doing PM's as opposed to putting out fires. In a typical day - common repairs are going to include, replacing locked out pumps, they will change out the pump immediately and repair it later. Other common repairs that they could have to do is make sure the pneumatic conveyors that they have are continually running - this is done by going in and unclogging the line and changing the filter.

From a PM standpoint - typically this includes changing out motors, greasing bearings, replacing belts, etc.

Qualifications:

2 years industrial maintenance experience

Ability to troubleshoot/repair pumps/tanks

Electrical Experience - up to 3-phase 480V

Ability to weld
