SHIPPER I - 1st Shift OVERVIEW: Performs various material movement
duties including: basic operation of computer systems, categorizing
freight and other similar duties to ship company\'s products and
materials. WHAT YOU\'LL DO: Works from computer systems procedures,
purchase orders, written and/or verbal instructions, established
shipping procedures, methods, and practices. Counts, weighs, and checks
outgoing shipments; reports shortages, damage or obvious defects to
supervisor. Packages, straps, weighs, and labels shipments. Operates
internal computer system to determine status of products and track
products. Maintains records as instructed. Maintains established quality
and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions,
established company and department policies, procedures, rules and
regulations. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment,
defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe
condition. Maintains daily production and other records as required.
Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee
Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety
guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job. Performs additional
duties as assigned. WHAT YOU\'LL NEED: High School Diploma or equivalent
preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in shipping. Ability to
follow verbal and/or written instructions. Must be certified to drive
forklifts or pass certification exam during initial trial period.

and cooperatively with employees at all levels. Must have the ability to
complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager. Must
be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work
overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice. Must
be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple
projects simultaneously. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly
required to execute standard physical activities within the facility
areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers). While performing the
duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to
execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e.
climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch). Ability to lift and/or move up
to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. This
position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities. Pelican Products,
