Description We are offering a contract support role based in South San Francisco, California, for an Entry Level Accountant. The person in this role will be primarily assisting the Controller of our non-profit organization, handling both accounts payable and receivable transactions. The workplace is on-site and the role involves daily invoicing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Controller in managing both accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Key in invoices on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Communicate effectively with the Controller and staff to resolve any issues
• Use accounting software systems, including Acomba and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, to maintain accurate financial records
• Utilize your skills in CL Programming and IBM AS/400 to enhance efficiency in the accounting process
• Leverage your knowledge in About Time and Accounting Functions for effective planning and time management
• Ensure accurate data entry into the accounting software, taking utmost care to avoid discrepancies
• Use your proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Computer Data Entry to maintain accurate financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems
• Familiarity with Acomba accounting software
• Knowledge of CL programming
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Ability to work with IBM AS/400 system
• Proficient in using About Time software
• Strong understanding of accounting functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in computer data entry tasks
• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
