Mechanical Technician
Pay : $30/hr - $50/hr
Shift : 8am – 4pm
Location : South San Francisco
Seeking a Mechanical Technician with a focus on test builds and prototypes
Job Description:
· Provide hands on expertise in building prototype instruments
· Assembly prototype instruments and test benches
· Assembling based on CAD drawings and exploded assembly drawings: photographs and pictures of assembly procedures
· Work closely with engineers to improve porotype designs, mark up drawings, and create assembly notes
· Bonus if you have experience in completing related documentation
· Building, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems using tools such as drills, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches etc.
· Utilizing gluing stations to build and glue fixtures
· Ensure high quality of workmanship
Skills & Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience with hands-on mechanical build and assembly
· Education or training in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
· Able to understand assembly documentation, exploded assembly views etc.
· Experience with assembly hand tools, hex wrenches, wrenches, pliers screwdrivers etc.
· Strong attention to detail
· Creative, self-motivated, flexible to work in a small company environment and assume a wide variety of tasks
