S&P Global EV Charging Infrastructure - Market Research Internship in Southfield, Michigan

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team for a summer internship. As part of our EV charging infrastructure research and competitive benchmarking efforts, you will play a crucial role in assessing the quality, analyzing data, and identifying valuable insights. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from around the world and will be working in the Automotive Supply Chain, Technology, and Aftermarket organization, a global team of over 100 analysts. This internship will run from June 3rd to August 9th.

Location: Southfield, MI (relocation assistance not available)

Responsibilities

Quality Checking:

  • Review and validate data related to EV charging infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Identify any discrepancies or anomalies and report them promptly.

Data Analysis:

  • Collect and organize data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and internal databases.

  • Apply statistical methods and analytical tools to extract meaningful patterns and trends.

  • Prepare clear and concise summaries of your findings.

Analyzing Data and Identifying Useful Information/Knowledge:

  • Dive deep into data sets to uncover insights related to EV charging networks, technology adoption, and user behavior.

  • Collaborate with senior researchers to interpret results and draw actionable conclusions.

  • Contribute to the development of best practices and recommendations based on your analysis.

Working with and Collaborating with Global Colleagues:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams across different regions and time zones.

  • Participate in virtual meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects.

  • Leverage diverse perspectives to enhance our understanding of the EV charging landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a undergraduate/graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Public Policy, Technology Policy, International Studies) with a focus on energy and sustainability.

  • Prior experience in EV charging or energy policy within government, nonprofits, public interest groups, or industry associations is preferred.

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory processes.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
