Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for an HR Systems Specialist to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an on-site position. 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or the combination of education and experience that enables performance in all aspects of the position.
  • Working knowledge of Paycom HRIS software applications and products (or equivalent system).
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures for multi-state establishments.

About the Position:

This critical position will report to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for providing a hands-on approach within the HR Shared Services function. This includes but is not limited to planning, project coordination and management of human resources management system (Paycom) while partnering with the HR team and internal customers to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization. Responsible for analyzing and directing functional related activities within the scope of the HR systems. This position will serve as the technical point-of-contact for HR and assists operations with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This position also supports HR functions such as policy writing, payroll support, benefits administration, compensation, and compliance reporting.

Duties Include:

Daily activities to support HR, payroll, and other interrelated functions.

Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, systems, and modules.

Collaborates with leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.

Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.

Provides analysis and recommendations for new acquisition integrations into HRIS system and HR policies.

Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.

Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.

Supports the total reward function by analyzing vacation plans, sick time, holidays, etc.

Accurately compiles and delivers data for AAP, EEO, Vets 4212, California Pay Reporting, and other compliance related reports timely.

Onboarding and I-9 completion of new hires including senior level executives.

Deliver monthly headcount report(s).

Rollout of HR documents, trainings, required learning to appropriate employee groups and supports Talent Management with delivery of required materials.

Assist with Benefits Administration including billing, open enrollment audits, answering employee questions.
