The Corporate Systems team in Charles Schwab’s IT organization is looking for a motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to work on our Securities Lending business applications. You will be working closely with our various business partners and stakeholders. This position will take on a key development and support role in critical Securities Lending applications.
What you’ll do:
Provide technical expertise on critical enhancement and maintenance development endeavors
Engage with variety of staff: Business System Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, QA, Management
Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with team members and stakeholders
Aid in delivering technical strategies and solutions, application development, and end-user services
Solve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate
Take on diverse set of projects and tasks including working to improve technology, tools and processes that are leveraged across Software Engineering job family
Provide crisp and well-understood directives and communication
Learn and understand applications from a technical and business perspective
Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example
Be comfortable with ambiguity while seeking clarity
What you have
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years’ experience in full stack application development technologies using primarily C#
Strong fundamentals in SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
Experience in an Agile development environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and influencing skills
Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor
Ability to listen and encourage thoughts, opinions and discussions where needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Java, REST Web Services, and JSON/XML
Familiar with modern source control and CI/CD pipelines
Acquainted with generative AI prompt engineering
Exposure to testing methodologies, including unit testing, TDD/BDD, and automation
Experience with cloud-ready platforms such Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, or Azure
Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
