Location Description The Post Consumer Brands plant in Sparks, Nevada celebrated 30 years of cereal manufacturing in 2021. Home to about 180 team members, the plant is part of our West Coast network and supplies a variety of private label cereal to our retail customers. Just outside of Reno, Nevada, Sparks has no shortage of fun and engaging activities, including rodeos, festivals, and outdoor recreation. The Sparks team also supports the local Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Responsibilities Warehouse Operator: LOCATION: Sparks, Nevada SHIFT: 12 Hour shifts, Back Half Nights Position Overview: The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the handling of inbound and outbound material within the plant operation. This position is responsible for accurate lot tracking, inventory accuracy, including inbound and outbound material and vessel inspections serving as the first line of defense in food safety. Responsibilities: Must maintain safety and security standards at all times as it relates to human and foods safety. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly assigned sanitation task in a timely manner. Inbound and Outbound Ingredient, Packaging Material, and Finished Goods handling. Responsible for wrapping, loading and unloading of pallets and slip sheet product. Responsible for material staging for production floor based on production schedule. Return unused material back from production with proper wrapping, count adjustment, and labeling for put away. Verification and documentation of item numbers and record lot numbers. Responsible for accurate scanning of pallets into Warehouse Inventory from Production Floor. Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in warehousing operations. Verify that proper labels are applied to each pallet with correct quantities. Finished Goods, ingredient, and packing material damage inspections Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills: Must follow all safety policies and procedures including the use of safety equipment. Must be able to read, understand, and follow written instructions and materials. Knowledge and Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Must have good communication skills and attention to detail. Some lifting 5 to 20 pounds occasionally 21 to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in Hot or Cold temperature work environments as needed or requested.
