SNAP Property Management Coordinator in Spokane, Washington

*SNAP is seeking a qualified individual for a Property Management Coordinator *to join our growing team! This postiion is located at The Resident Court Apartments and will require regular travel.

Review of applications will begin on May 29, 2024, and will continue until the position is filled.

Starting salary for this position is $26.57-$29.78 per hour DOE

Full range is $26.57-$42.05 per hour

Position Summary: Manages day-to-day operations of a 354-unit affordable housing portfolio. Specific focus on activities relating to leasing, compliance, and waitlist management. Ensures compliance with SNAP procedures and applicable regulations including, but not limited to, HUD regulations, including Housing Quality Standards, Washington State Landlord-Tenant Law, Tax Credit, HOME, NHTF & HTF compliance to ensure that SNAP's interests are protected.  Promotes community concept among SNAP properties, providing a clean, safe, friendly, and comfortable place for people to live

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides supervision of a team of 4 to ensure the administrative and maintenance operations of the portfolio are completed on a day-to-day basis.

Provide direct administrative support for one 20-unit Rural Development Property, ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.  Ensures all housing and related activities comply with codes and regulations, including local building codes, safety regulations, and landlord-tenant laws.

Selects, trains, supports, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff. Ensures team members receive job-related orientation and training.   

Oversees the digital negotiation and execution of leasing documents for new tenants.

Coordinates with third-party compliance firm with eligibility determination; ensuring activities comply with regulations and all appropriate documentation is completed and retained.

Establishes clear expectations for performance, supports employee development, and holds employees accountable for their work performance, processes, and results. 

Fosters a positive and productive working environment characterized by open communication, expectations of excellence, and adaptability to change.

Conducts regular site visits and quality control inspections in compliance with HQS and/or other standards.

Maintains files, reports, and statistical data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.  Assists Affordable Housing Development and Asset Management Coordinator with financial reports by providing relevant data.

Works with existing or established Resident Councils at appropriate sites. 

Must be available for emergency on call status.

Completes assigned projects and performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
