DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your main responsibility will be to support the forester/crew leader in implementing forest inventory sampling protocols outlined in the field manuals created by the Resource Inventory and Monitoring Section. This involves collecting data to monitor the condition, growth, and health of state forest lands. In addition, you will also provide assistance to various program areas within the Bureau of Forestry, such as Forest Health, Forest Management, Ecological Services, and Forest Fire Protection, as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Thursday, with 30-minute lunch Statewide travel, with overnight required Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: An associate's degree in forest technology; or Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Conditions of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
