We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Spring, Texas. This role involves the processing and verification of invoices, managing vendor accounts, and providing administrative support within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
• Review invoices for accurate documentation and approval before processing for payment.
• Establish new vendor accounts by providing necessary documentation and references.
• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and resolve any open issues.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure invoices match with purchase orders and receiving documents for transaction accuracy.
• Reconcile vendor statements to identify and resolve outstanding invoices.
• Code invoices with appropriate general ledger account numbers and cost centers for proper expense allocation.
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and invoice inquiries.
• Maintain organized and updated accounts payable files for audit and reference purposes.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including sorting, distributing, and processing.
• Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Greet visitors professionally and direct them to the appropriate person or office.
• Maintain office filing and storage systems for easy document accessibility.
• Provide general administrative support to executives and other staff members as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with special projects and events as assigned.
Requirements
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP)
• Experience with check runs and coding invoices
• Strong data entry skills necessary
• Ability to process invoices efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent time management skills
• Good organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
