HP Inc. Sourcing Strategic Development Manager in Spring, Texas

Job Summary

Join HP's Supply Chain organization as a Strategic Development Manager within the Direct Procurement Strategy & Operations team. This position will play a crucial role in end-to-end strategic planning by developing HP sourcing strategy and managing strategic initiatives across the Procurement organization.

The position will 1) develop company-wide Procurement strategies and support sourcing teams to develop comprehensive commodity-level strategies, informed by strong understanding of market and business trends; 2) drive execution of strategic initiatives by partnering cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables align with Procurement strategic objectives and timelines; and 3) deploy robust initiative performance management and scheduling processes to optimize value of initiatives and organizational resources.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develops business and project-level strategies by applying structured, analytical approaches and advanced, in-depth supply chain and industry knowledge.

  • Owns complex strategic supply chain projects from planning through to execution and provides findings resulting from project execution.

  • Provides strategic oversight and guidance to cross-functional teams to drive execution of strategic initiatives within the Direct Procurement organization.

  • Collaborates with project teams to develop initiative plans that reflect organizational priorities, business impact, and challenges.

  • Implements and maintains a project management framework that drives efficient project execution, leverage interdependencies, and mitigate risks.

  • Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall supply chain strategies and long-term goals of the organization.

  • Consults with business leaders on a wide range of high-level supply chain issues, including risk management and new growth opportunities.

  • Leverages industry and subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas in supply chain projects and programs.

  • Develops executive-level content to communicate initiative progress and impact (relative to Procurement goals and strategy).

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.

  • Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategy preferred.

  • Digital fluency : Proficiency in MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on PowerPoint is required.
