OVERVIEW:
We seek a highly skilled and results-driven manager to lead our Title
and Registration team. This team will manage title, registration,
permits, and fuel tax for over 13,000 rolling stock assets across the
Tyson enterprise. This team ensures compliance with road regulations and
oversees annual spend exceeding \$5 million. The successful candidate
will be pivotal in optimizing operations, improving processes,
compliance, and driving strategic initiatives supporting the company\'s
continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead a dynamic team overseeing titles,
tags, and permits and ensuring full compliance with state and
federal regulations. In addition, management enterprise adherence to
title/tag policies.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic initiatives that
transition the team from a reactive to a proactive operational
model, enhancing efficiency and strengthening management processes.
- Operational Excellence: Optimize resource allocation and processes
to effectively manage the execution of titles, tags, and permits
while supporting the growth enterprise wide.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate gaps in
vehicle registration, title entities, and location permitting to
minimize liability and tax risks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with enterprise wide and
key departments such as Accounting, Transportation, Treasury, Tax
legal, and Business Units to ensure seamless operations and
consistent support across the organization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational data, prepare
weekly reporting around policy adherence and operational
efficiencies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine operational
processes to enhance team performance, compliance, and alignment
with road regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Background: A bachelor\'s degree in management, or a
related field; or equivalent professional experience that
demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge instead of a formal
degree.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar leadership
role, with a strong background in title and registration compliance,
fleet management, or a related discipline.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership capabilities, with exceptional
interpersonal and communication skills to manage and inspire a team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,
keen attention to detail and expertise in interpreting complex data
from multiple sources.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work
effectively in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with
minimal supervision.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SAP, Vertex, and other relevant
enterprise software tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are
essential, as the role requires effective communication and
collaboration with various departments across the organization.
