Product Development Chemist - JR2413836

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Product Development Chemist , you will manage technical aspects of PPG Architectural Coatings products, including formulas, specifications, and test methods. Under the supervision of the Manager, you will work on solving production problems and improve manufacturing process with the aim of improving the First Run Capacity. Participate to SAP data clean up. You will report to the Manager of Manufacturing Support and this role is located in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities * Work within the Manufacturing support team and in collaboration with Quality Control Manager and production to rework any defectives batches. * Support manufacturing at all USCA plants to solve production problems or improve manufacturing processes. * Ensure the accomplishment of designed projects within foreseen time limits under minimum supervision. * For all projects, ensure to use the list of raw materials previously approved by Technical Managers. * Work safely and respect PPG environmental rules. * Assure that project reports are compliant. * Prepare SAP Bill of Materials and Inspection Plans.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering * At least 3-5 years of experience * Experience with SAP * Experience preparing batches and prepare tests in a lab setting.
