Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Operating construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, front loaders, skid steers, and more. The main task will be to operate a dozer for rough grade work. Experience with GPS is a plus. You must be comfortable operating this equipment on construction sites, performing tasks such as grading, loading dirt into trucks, and loading/unloading from low boy trucks. Final grade expertise is not required, as the work will primarily involve site work and dirt work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, front loaders, and skid steers.

  • Perform rough grade work with a dozer.

  • Load dirt into trucks and trailers.

  • Load and unload equipment from low boy trucks.

  • Perform site work and dirt work tasks.

  • Operate additional construction equipment such as backhoes and rollers.

  • Drive dump trucks as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.

  • Experience working on construction sites.

  • Proficiency in operating dozers, excavators, skid steers, and front loaders.

  • Ability to perform rough grade work.

  • Comfortable with construction site environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with GPS technology is a plus.

  • Ability to operate additional construction equipment like backhoes and rollers.

  • Experience driving dump trucks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Springfield, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
