Security Engineer will be responsible for collaboratively developing and
implementing security policy standards across the organization,
specifically focused on the Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. The
qualified candidate will have experience in best practices surrounding
identity and access management, threat detection, and security across
the Microsoft 365 workloads as well as Azure infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:

- - Manage user access and permissions within Microsoft 365
workloads like Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Utilize Microsoft Defender for Identity to detect and respond to
potential identity-based threats.
- Implement data loss prevention (DLP) policies and sensitivity
labels to protect sensitive information across Microsoft 365
platforms.
- Monitor for suspicious activity in Microsoft 365 environments
using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps,
Defender for Identity.
- Perform eDiscovery searches and content holds across Microsoft
365 data estate
- Implement and manage Purview Insider Risk Management.

- - Assist with determining and documenting ports, protocols, and
applications in use across all enterprise networks (both
physical and cloud-based).
- Perform periodic user and service principal audits.
- Collaborate in developing organizational security standards and
policies that align with NIST 800-171/CMMC 2.0.

- Key skills and knowledge
- Deep understanding of Azure and Microsoft 365 security features,
services, and best practices.
- Expertise in identity and access management (IAM) concepts,
including Entra Conditional Access policies.
- Proficiency in security incident and event management (SIEM)
tools. Working with an external SOC/MSSP/SEIM preferred.
- Knowledge of network security principles and threat detection
techniques, including Secure Access Service Edge products

- Experience with compliance frameworks and regulations (NIST 800-171,
CMMC 2.0)
Compensation Minimum: 150000
Compensation Maximum: 160000
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
A bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Management Information
Systems, or cybersecurity-related field or minimum of 5 years
equivalent, progressive industry experience.
Relevant certifications preferred:
- CISSP
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
- Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert certifications
Experience with ISO frameworks (900x, 2000x, 2700x) preferred.
Daily and punctual attendance is required:
- Remote work, but must be able to coordinate with teams in
multiple time zones
- On time and prepared for all scheduled meetings
Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting for extended periods of
time, typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have enough mobility.
Including bending, reaching, kneeling to complete daily duties in a
prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds,
as necessary.
