live sporting events. Job Summary/Description: Western Mass News is
searching for a hard news, enterprising Anchor/Multimedia Journalist to
join our award-winning team. We are looking for a journalist who excels
at uncovering, not just covering, news. The ideal candidate must thrive
in a fast-paced, breaking news-first environment. This position will
serve as co-anchor of our Weekday AM newscasts and help spearhead our
in-depth reporting stories. Duties/Responsibilities include (but not
limited to): - Co-anchor our Weekday AM newscasts - Fill-in anchor for
our Weekday Noon newscasts - One of our station\'s in-depth reporters,
responsible for a minimum of one in-depth story per week - Candidate
works with Executive Producer to enterprise in-depth stories from start
to finish, setting up interviews, writing, and presenting story - Cover
Breaking News in the field when called upon - Able to work independently
and as a team Qualifications/Requirements: - A college degree and some
professional experience preferred - Knowledge of Western Massachusetts
and New England is also a plus - Energetic self-starter - Strong writing
and organizational skills - Enjoy a fast-paced environment - Ability to
meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously
