Senior Sales Manager - MassMutual Center Have you ever wondered what it

for our guests. The primary responsibility of the Senior Sales Manager
is to sell the MassMutual Center. There will be a focus on both new
business development as well as strengthening relationships with
existing accounts to achieve targeted revenues through pro-active direct
sales, including prospecting, outgoing solicitation, outside sales
calls, appointments and site tours of the MassMutual Center. The
position will also assist the Director of Sales in overall department
strategic planning, contract approvals, and sales reporting. THE
DAY-TO-DAY: Represents the MassMutual Center as its primary sales
representative locally, regionally, and nationally ? Researches,
identifies, and establishes the appropriateness of groups for the
MassMutual Center through daily cold calling and solicitations ? Assist
in developing and implementing the sales/marketing activities of the
MassMutual Center including developing budget submissions, contract
approvals, and sales reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) ? Assist
Sales Manager and other sales staff in evaluating business and
developing price point strategies to maximize EI, Revenue, and room
night potential ? Establish and maintain effective working relationships
with the Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau, area hotels,
MassMutual Center staff, service providers, and facility users ?
Responds in a timely manner to inquiries by prospective and confirmed
facility users regarding rental rates, Food & Beverage minimums,
ancillary costs, and space availability of the MassMutual Center ?
Conducts facility tours and makes formal presentations to convention and
exhibition managers and other facility users regarding facility booking
policies, rental rates, services, and optional policies ? Prepares
written facility use proposals and cost estimates for potential facility
users: re-evaluates the potential business of various events and
facility users; initiates booking discussions; finalizes all booking
arrangements ? Reviews and approves agreements for sales manager(s) and
other sale staff ensuring agreements are within established booking
policies and revenue guidelines ? Demonstrates continuous efforts to
improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work
processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality
seamless customer service ? Creates awareness and actively sells through
seeking out opportunities for Sales trips, attends conference,
tradeshows, sales missions and networking meetings to promote convention
business and drive repeat business ? Maintains thorough knowledge of
competitor?s products and pricing ? Travels as required by Department
Head ? Meets specified goals and objectives for facility usage THE IDEAL

nights, weekends and holidays Able to effectively communicate in
English, in both written and verbal forms Excellent customer service
skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all
business contacts High School diploma or equivalent ?Bachelor\'s degree
or equivalent experience and education ?Minimum of two (2) years of
convention center sales or hotel sales experience is required working
with multiday groups of 250 or more requiring a minimum or 150 or more
rooms on peak night Familiarity with the NE Association Meetings &
Tradeshow market preferred ? Proven track record in prospecting & new
business development . Previous experience working with Amadeus/Delphi .
