Join our team of experienced machinists in our shop. Job Duties Set up
and operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to produce
precision parts and instruments out of metal or plastics. Read G-code
programming to and possibly edit it with software. Fabricate and modify
parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines,
applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout,
and machining procedures. Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using
instruments, such as micrometers or digital calipers. Machine parts to
specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines.
Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and
ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such
as micrometers. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine
tools used to perform precision machining operations. Program computers
or electronic instruments, such as CNC machine tools. Weld to repair or
fabricate parts. Operate forklift. Work in unison with coworkers.
Moderate physical effort consisting of standing, twisting, bending and
frequent lifting, moving or turning average weight material is required
(40-70 lbs). Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent
required. Minimum of 3 years related experience, training,
licenses/certification or other history demonstrating you can perform
the described position responsibilities. Preferences CAD/CAM experience
would be a plus. Demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal
communication skills. Possess strong math skills such as addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division, including decimals and
fractions. Hours and Pay: Full time, 40 hours a week, Day shift
\$18.00 - \$23.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
