ManTech Senior Systems Engineer in Springfield, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Senior Systems Engineer in the Springfield, VA. To provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, deploy and maintain client and server platforms.

  • Maintain day-to-day operations

  • Responsible for contributing to IT Infrastructure Roadmap related to Systems hardware/software.

  • Experience working in secure, complex environments and able to demonstrate this knowledge

  • Assessment of client and server platforms for vulnerabilities and mitigation of existing threats and provide proactive posture recommendations in compliance with organization governance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ten years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.

  • Must be hands-on Systems Engineering Lead with ability to perform technical Systems Engineering/Administration.

  • Must be extremely proficient Maintaining/Utilizing Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) also known as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Vulnerability and Windows Image management

  • Must be proficient managing STIG compliance via Microsoft Active Directory – Group Policy Management

  • Proficient managing Microsoft Hyper-V Clustered Platforms; design, implement and manage; proficient utilizing Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager (VMM)

  • Windows 10 Operating System; manage, secure, deploy updates via SCCM

  • Cohesity Backup Management; must be familiar with backup standards and policies

  • Veeam Backup Management; must be familiar with backup standards and policies

  • EMC Storage Appliances; storage area network (SAN) knowledge/best practices

  • Microsoft Exchange 2016 and higher; must be knowledgeable

  • Support/manage Server 2016 and 2019 platforms; to include domain management

  • Manage/Secure Remote Applications which service legacy applications

  • Configure and maintain the environment for High-Availability and Data Recovery

  • Assist with development of disaster recovery plans

  • Must be able to manage and follow configuration management/control processes

  • DoD 8570 compliance required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification Requirement: 2016 or 2019 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • ​Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Must be able to detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, & Assess.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Working with computers.
