Kelly Services Accounting Clerk in St Charles, Illinois

Kelly Services is currently partnering with a privately owned manufacturer in the St Charles/ Aurora area seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the team for a 4+ month contract

Role: Accounting Clerk

Pay: $24-27/hr

Location: St. Charles through the end of the year, then the company will be moving to Aurora, must be open to both locations. 100% onsite

Duration: 4+ month contract

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Process Customer Payments

  • Process Invoices & Credits

  • Customer Service: take phone payments, send copies of invoices, check balances, credit applications

  • Customer Statements, Collect on Past Due Accounts

  • Avalara-Sales Tax: reconcile transactions, approve returns

  • Accounts Payable

  • Invoice Data Entry – all non PO orders

  • Check/ACH Runs

  • Credit Card Management: dispute transactions, order replacement cards

  • Vendor Communication: update ACH information, send sales tax exemption, set up new vendors

  • Reconcile Bank Statements

  • Certificate of Insurance Requests

  • General Office

  • Sort Mail

  • Order Office Supplies

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Accounting Experience

  • Micro Soft Office Experience: Excel, Word

  • Quick Learner

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Critical Thinker

  • Ability to Multi-Task

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Work Independently but also as a Team Player

  • Versatile/Cross Train for Back Up to Other Positions

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Sage 100 Experience

Working Conditions:

Full Time

  • 30 Minute Lunch

  • In-office Position (no remote opportunities)

  • Position will start in St. Charles and will move to our new location in Aurora

  • December ‘23/January ‘24

  • Desk Position

  • Very Quiet Office Environment
