Empowering Lives. Restoring Families. Responsibilities Join the Newprt team as a Baylor RN. Work 32 hours a week and get paid for 40! Hurs are 8 hours on Friday, 12 on Saturday and Sunday and have every Monday - Thrursday off! Day and Night shift available The RN provides on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents/young adults residing in Newport Healthcare facilities. The RN is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare and comply with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations. Essential Duties: Medication administration. Obtain and document vital signs in the medical record. Evaluate medical complaints/concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to appropriate NP/MD. Complete treatment plans when indicated, provide direct care and nursing services to clients as prescribed by program regulations, and client health screening. Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures. Maintains records, including but not limited to Medication Administration Record, medical records, medical charts, infection control log etc. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed. Comply with all mandated reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, infection control, etc. Ensure accurate and timely initiation of medications and arrival of medications from pharmacy. Communicate with Care Coordinators (CCs) regarding medication concerns. Order all medication refills in a timely manner. Destroy medications per DEA protocol. Coordinate with operations staff to order any/all medical equipment. May include phlebotomy. Attendance at meetings per prior arrangement, and participation as an interdisciplinary team member. Qualifications Requirements Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work. Experience in residential nursing a plus. Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction, prior to employment. Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment. Newport Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
