Schedule:

Full Time: 8:00am -- 5:00pm, Monday -- Friday

*Position Summary: *

This position will work with LECO's Service, Software Training and R&D teams to improve and expand our ChromaTOF software packages to provide solutions to our customers. 

 

The candidate should have a strong understanding of GC-MS,  GCxGC MS, LECO's ChromaTOF software packages as well as other analytical system software.  Furthermore, the candidate must be highly self-motivated to develop and implement advanced training material to support LECO field engineers, our customers, answer software related questions and present material . The candidate should be able to work with LECO's customers, Field Engineers and R&D to solve complex software issues. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and strong presentation skills are a must.

*Position Responsibilities: *

  • Develop a high level of proficiency with LECO's ChromaTOF products and related software.
  • Frequently interact with customers to highlight LECO solutions and help customers with all software related technical obstacles and questions.
  • Create and present training material for LECO's customers and Field Service Engineers.
  • Accurate documentation and reporting of all software issues and when applicable, providing design change and improvement recommendations to R&D
  • Work with R&D, and Applications whenever necessary to solve customer problems. 
  • Attend meetings related to product development and related topics.
  • Travel to provide training to customers and Field Service Engineers
  • Timely submission of all required paperwork and reports.

*Position Requirements: *

  • Experience in a regulated lab (EPA, FDA, CLIA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate via email, phone and in person with customers to understand their needs and formulate solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially GC, GCxGC and MS
  • Previous experience with analytical software, especially related to data review and reporting.
  • Previous experience with ChromaTOF products is desirable.
  • Overnight, domestic travel is required. International travel as needed..
  • Highly organized/well-prepared/time management.
  • Matured disposition, positive attitude, and strong sense of commitment.
  • Adaptive to a dynamic and changing environment.

*Education/Certifications: *

  • Bachelor of Science in physical science with at least 5 years of industrial experience, Master of Science in physical science with at least 3 years of experience or PhD in the physical sciences with 1-year experience
