POSITION SUMMARY
Job Purpose
To assist the Chef de partie in managing his assigned section of the kitchen in a professional manner to ensure that hotel standards are achieved and maintained.
Job Duties
(1) Ensures preparation of food in assigned section, in accordance with recipes and cooking standards.
(2) Maintains levels of productivity at assigned section through activities including, but not limited to assigning work to commis de cuisine, ordering food products from store room and expediting meal periods.
(3) Maintains consistent high quality of food items in accordance with guest requests and standards of the hotel.
(4) Prepares and maintains mise en place for shift and next day.
(5) Assists in preparation and completion of requisition forms in the absence of the Chef de partie
Minimum Requirements
(1) Culinary diploma or equivalent
(2) Minimum of two years working experience in the Kitchen
