As Manager of EHS you will provide assistance and mentorship to the sites approach in Safety, Health and Environmental compliance matters in every aspect of the business. Ensuring that our People Leaders have the tools & systems provided to them to drive a culture of EHS accountability. Assures timely EHS projects, and complainant record keeping while providing leadership to meet the Site’s goals and objectives. Leads the EHS department to predict and correct potential safety related issues following strict product safety & quality standards. Must have the ability & initiative to lead & participate in plant problem-solving teams, ability to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate optimally, demonstrate leadership, and plan efficiently. Work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EHS Programs and Systems by developing programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure execution of key actions and report Metrics to the Director of EHS to ensure the site is aligned with corporate standards.

  • Supports the sites development and completion of a Business Continuity Plan.

  • Provide oversight of Risk Management initiatives and provide mentorship towards the implementation of enterprise risk management goals.

  • Participate in Site Quality Risk Management (ICH Q9) activities.

  • Provide mentorship on risk-based tools FMEA, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

  • Building of Divisional Single Point of Failure and CAPA database.

  • Build the Sites compliance tools and advancing the completion of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.

  • Coordinate EHS led site wide drills fire, tornado, etc. Coordinate EHS yearly ERT drills.

  • Own & modify SOP’s with EHS components.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./ B.A.) in a Life/Physical Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Safety, or Industrial Hygiene, Master’s degree a plus.

  • 5-10 years of broad-based experience in the EHS field with a history of leading others in project management.

  • EHS regulatory compliance experience in air, water, waste, safety and IH programs a must and should include program development, reporting, auditing, and training responsibilities.

  • Experience with developing and implementing division-wide programs and ensuring your teams have accurate resources.

  • Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems auditing and inspections.

  • Should be capable of reading, interpreting, and aligning with government regulations (i.e. OSHA, EPA, MDNR) to site specific programs.
