Emerson Investor Relations Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri

The Investor Relations Analyst supports Emerson’s investor relations and senior management with financial analysis and strategy. This includes initiating and leading reoccurring and project-based financial reports and analysis about Emerson and its peers. The position coordinates with the Vice President, Investor Relations and other corporate and business leaders to develop financial and strategic messages about Emerson to the investment community.

AS AN INVESTOR RELATIONS ANALYST, YOU WILL:

  • Assist in quarterly earnings activities, annual reports, press release issuance, ESG reporting, special events / announcements and investor conferences.

  • Provide financial analysis, analytics and insights to the Investor Relations team and Emerson executive management.

  • Work closely with finance teams to analyze financial results and compile important metrics, insights and other relevant information for use during quarterly earnings, and throughout the quarter during regular discussions with management and the investment community.

  • Build an Investor Relations focused financial reporting / study package.

  • Be responsible for analyzing consensus models and performing comparative analytics vs. internal forecasts/etc. to provide insights than can help advise and influence the IR team’s strategy and approach.

  • Build sophisticated financial models for Emerson and its peers to develop internal strategic and competitive framework that management will use to assess corporate performance, capital allocation decisions and investor expectations.

  • Analyze and compile peer earnings release details and other relevant announcements for the IR team’s review.

  • Compile management preparation materials for conferences, road shows, and other investor meetings.

  • Participate in development of IR strategy and messaging.

  • Participate in investor and sell-side analyst meetings to gain perspective and insight.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance or Business Administration

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

  • Must have strong written and oral communications skills

  • Solid understanding of corporate financials, public company accounting, regulatory issues and equity markets.

  • Must exhibit strong professionalism and be comfortable around executive management.

  • Should be able to perform in fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task well.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 1 – 4 years of experience in relevant field, direct Investor Relations or Corporate Finance experience

  • CFA or sitting for CFA, preferred.
