ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior HSE Engineer, you will provide leadership and oversight for Health Safety Environment (HSE), activities and performance for the St. Louis facility by establishing strong working relationships with site leadership team and employees.
You will report directly to the Sr. HSE Director of HSE. You will be a key leader with the St. Louis leadership team directing sustainable health and safety programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily manufacturing operations.
Management and continual improvement of safety programs including Machine Guarding, Pressure Testing, Electrical Safety, Contractor Safety, Hand Tools, Hot Work, Housekeeping, Combustible Dust, Fire Safety, Fall Protection, Vehicle Safety, etc.
Oversee and maintain environmental compliance, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste, stormwater permit.
Deploys safety initiatives - New Hire EHS Orientation, coordinating onboarding EHS training with supervision, and Annual EHS training schedule for frontline employees and supervisors.
Lead HSE initiatives and continuous improvement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone.
Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training.
Perform site compliance reviews and safety auditing as needed
Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
Strong MOS (Management Operating System) administration
Track, Trend and Measure key HSE metrics
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
WE VALUE
Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or Industrial Hygiene
Environmental Health and Safety related field Leadership
Manufacturing experience
Record of progressive HSE experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Lean/Six Sigma experience
