Regions is seeking an experienced medical office admin with exceptional customer service skills to join our Oncology team in a full time Patient Financial Navigator role. The Patient Financial Navigator is responsible for insurance and eligibility verifications and assessment of financial requirements of recommended treatment. Treatment including, but not limited to, chemotherapy, office visits, counseling, nutrition, and other cancer-related therapy. The Financial Navigator counsels the patient on insurance benefits and co-payments. Assists patients in obtaining outside assistance such as transportation and community services. This position is in constant communication with patients, physicians, nursing staff, members of the care team, and third-party payers. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 5 years medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interactions Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work Associate's degree in health sciences and/or medical records certification Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
